She is an active member of the CCPA (Canadian Counsellor and Psychotherapist Association) and engages with community organizations like the Iranian Mental Health Center. With over nine years of dedicated experience in the field of therapy and counselling, Rebecca is passionate about supporting individuals and families on their journey towards healing and personal growth. Rebecca is a registered Social Worker and a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Rebecca has significant experience in addressing and supporting a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, behavioral challenges, parenting supports, life transitions, anger management, co-parenting challenges, and high conflict families.
Through a compassionate and client-centered approach, Rebecca empowers clients to explore their innermost thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, improve understanding and communcation and navigate life's challenges through awareness, self-discovery, reflection, and goal setting. Rebecca is a child and family therapist and has worked with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, in various settings such as community mental health agencies, child protection services, and private counselling practice. Rebecca’s comprehensive training encompasses evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, Play Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindful-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, couple, child, or family.
Beyond clinical practice, Rebecca is committed to ongoing professional development and staying educated and trained in the latest research and therapeutic techniques. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, specializing in children and their families. Additionally, Rebecca obtained her Bachelor of Indigenous Social work from Laurentian University and a Social Service Worker Diploma from Georgian College. Rebecca continues to pursue additional training and certifications to enhance her clinical skills and expertise to ensure her clients are provided with the most recent evidence-based practices and approaches.
